With all in-person programs and services temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, many people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia are feeling very isolated at home. The goal of this 'Night Out' is to boost everyone's spirits and help raise some much-needed funds to support the charity.

(To be eligible for a swag bag you must be of legal drinking age and live within Muskoka - Parry Sound. Proof of ID will be required upon delivery.) All money raised stays in our community to support programs and services for families impacted by dementia in Muskoka and Parry Sound.
To add to the excitement, Bracebridge Falls will be illuminated in blue on September 21st to raise awareness and challenge the stigma associated with dementia. Everyone is encouraged to get involved by wearing blue and to learn as much as they can about the disease.
“World Alzheimer’s Day is a great opportunity for us to recognize and support those in our families and communities who are affected by dementia. A lot of people still don’t really understand what dementia is or how it affects people.” says Karen Quemby, Executive Director, at the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka. “The way to understanding and acceptance is through knowledge and having open discussions, which is why we’re hosting this event.”
