The charity event(s) were previously put in place to enable us to ​both personally and directly make a difference in the mental health space and to build strong relationships with one another through team building day(s) and events.

The selected charities are typically related to our work and have a local branch or impact.

For this ear, we have selected the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto, as:

• Alzheimer's disease research is where Winterlight Labs started
• The Alzheimer's Society of Toronto strives to help individuals with dementia in Toronto by providing services such as: Care navigation, counselling, support groups
• Operationally, we can participate in the flexible "Anything for Alzheimer's" program, which allows us to choose our fundraising activity for our first charity event.
