In Canada, more than $10.4 billion is spent on dementia care each year— yet, less than one percent of that ($46 million) is spent on dementia research. For this reason, our team wanted to dedicate our marathon towards raising money for Alzheimer’s research.
While there is no definitive cure for the disease as of yet, research is advancing rapidly, and our understanding of the disease is expanding promisingly!
By donating on this page, you are helping to transform the lives of individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Race Against Alzheimer’s is a 10-day cycling marathon from Quebec City to Toronto, starting on June 1st. Our team will stop in major cities each day to raise funds during that time, but online donations before or after the marathon are just as appreciated!
