January is Alzheimer's Awareness Month in Canada. I'm making a difference in my community by participating in the Quest for Kindness and helping fight the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease. This is something that is dear and close to my heart as my grandma who lives with us has this horrible disease. She has been diagnosed 2 years ago. Because she has been living with us, I see the dramatic decline in her health and memory, unfortunately. It is so sad to see my grandma in that state. Research indicates that human interactions are essential and the programs that Alzheimer’s Society offers make a huge difference in people’s everyday life.
My goal is to raise awareness of this disease so I am hoping to raise $1000 which will be going towards the funding of programs and services offered by Alzheimer’s Society. I have until the end of January to achieve this and would love your help!
Once I reach this goal I will do 10 snow angels in the snow! Now remember, it is winter and February is the coldest month so I have been training for this already. I am really excited about this opportunity!
Thank you for considering joining me in the movement to help people with Alzheimer’s.
