Butterfly Home Project 

Guest speaker: Monica Goodban

Monica is a Dementia Education Specialist at Health Services, Long Term Care in Peel and is passionate about the work of Long Term Care, particularly about teaching others how to embrace approaches to provide loving, compassionate, and feelings-based care to older adults and people with dementia.  The Region of Peel is the first long term care provider in Ontario to create a Butterfly Home.   Her presentation will center around the journey to become a Butterfly Home, and will explore practical ways that front line care workers can shift focus from task-based care to person-centred care.
