This workshop will provide care partners, members ofthe general public, or professionals with an overview of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It will focus on aware of the signs and symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis
Learning Objectives:
Differentiate between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
Understand characteristic brain changes in Alzheimer’s Disease, associated symptoms and their progression
Discuss ways to support the person’s symptoms and remaining strengths
Recognize the importance of self-care
Understand support services available in the community
