Gardening Together Fall Q&A with Emma (ONLINE)
Online (Zoom)

Garden Wellness Cafe Fall

Wednesday, September 20th from 10:00 A.M - 11:30 A.M (ONLINE)

Join Emma Rooney, our AST Garden Expert, to get answers to your Fall gardening questions and fresh ideas for garden and nature activities that will engage your senses this Autumn season.

You don’t have to have access to a garden to get inspired and start growing. This 90-minute fun and interactive session is open to everyone in our community, and especially designed with care partners in mind. Refresh in the garden and add a little gardening to your personal wellbeing routine. We’ll also share tips for supporting those living with memory loss to make the most of their time outside and get their hands in the dirt. Join us at the start of spring to celebrate how caring for plants can bring us together and evoke fond memories. Bring your plants, bring your questions, and let’s get gardening together!

About Emma, AST Gardener In Residence
Emma is a wellness advocate, community programmer, environmentalist, gardener, and foodie. She is the proprietor of Blooming Caravan, a mobile business that brings Creative Companionship—therapeutic gardening, seasonal cooking, and storytelling—to older adults in the comfort of their homes. She also works as a horticultural therapist practitioner in long-term care and as a certified forest therapy guide. Emma enjoys volunteering as a Toronto Master Gardener and with friends at the High Park Nature Centre.
