Moving to Long-Term Care Series

This 3-session educational workshop aims to give caregivers related to the person living with dementia an overview of issues related to long-term care (LTC). The goal is for caregivers to learn about how the decision for LTC could have an impact on them, understand the application process and to learn to cope with the transition. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Review and discuss the dilemma for making the decision
  • Explore caregiving options in the home, LTC and retirement home
  • Learn about possible issues and decisions related to long-term care placement and caregiving options
  • Learn strategies to prepare for the move into LTC 
  • Learn about community services and supports

Dates and Time: (this is a 3-session workshop for family caregivers related to a person living with dementia)

Tuesdays, September 18, 25 and October 2 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

COST: FREE, registration and a short pre-screening is required
