Introducing a new pilot session for Behavioural Support Training Program The Behavioural Supporal Training Program (BSTP) is the next step in the Alzheimer Society of Toronto’s dementia care training. It has been a successful program that has been running in an in person format. In light of COVID-19, we have modified our BSTP program for Zoom and are ready to try it out. When is the BSTP Zoom based pilot session? Module 1: Thursday November 19, 2020 from 9:00am – 12:00pm Module 2: Thursday November 26, 2020 from 9:00am – 12:00pm Module 3: Thursday December 3, 2020 from 9:00am – 12:00pm Module 4: Thursday December 10, 2020 from 9:00am – 12:00pm
All sessions will take place online on Zoom. Pilot participants will receive a Zoom link to participate 2 days before the start of the course.
Who should take this course? Front-line healthcare providers (such as personal support workers, dietary aides, activation and recreation staff, allied health) interested in furthering their skills and tools to support people living with dementia exhibiting responsive behaviours. Learners will obtain Behavioural Support Training Program certificate upon succesful completion of the program. Program pre-requisites:
