I’m raising money to help the fight against Dementia in Toronto. I am participating in the Walk for Memories to make that happen. I hope you're here because you want to help.
I'm walking for my Mum and my Dad and my Mother-in-Law - My mum who is struggling to cope with the disease, my Dad who is sacrificing his own quality of life to help her, and my Mother-in-Law who died this past summer after suffering for the last ten years of her life. As you probably know, while there are promising therapies to help cope with this disease, there is no cure. Your donation will help us move closer to finding one, and in the meantime, to helping the millions of families who are affected as patients, caregivers or loved ones.
By making a donation to me today, you are helping the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. AST is a wonderful organization that provides much needed support to thr Alzheimer's cause - whether its reasearch, caregiver training, support groups or therapies, your donation is helping everyone who is affected by this terrible disease. Your support helps ensure that all of AST's important programs will continue, and the support is desperately needed.
Thank you for considering sponsoring me and helping make this city better for those living with dementia and their families.
