This year’s walk brings a ton of new with a bit of nostalgia:
The Carswell Family Foundation has generously donated $50,000 to the Walk for Memories as a matching campaign.
From November 1st to January 31st, The Carswell Family Foundation will match all donations up to $50k to all of our youth (3-17) fundraisers.
We know how important it is to spend time with your family, that's why this year, we are introducing an opportunity for your family to join us for a fantastic fun filled evening of fun.* We will even be there to greet your family at check-in with a big hello and a little welcome gift. Once your family has checked into your room, join us back downstairs where the fun begins!
Your family can enjoy a pizza dinner, make some arts and crafts, and play a ton of games. We will end the night with a very special story time. Cap the whole evening off with a swim in the pool, or watch a movie in your room. Then join us in the morning as we celebrate your fundraising success at the Walk for Memories.
Until January 9, 2018, this package is available to everyone

Alzheimer Society Toronto is taking on a new initiative in 2018: Teaching kids about charity. The power of giving can be rewarding for both parents and children. Learning about giving and helping others provides children a feeling of empowerment in an uncertain world where unexpected and frightening events happen. A great way to reinforce charitable values is to make giving a family activity. It is especially important to teach young ones that they are part of a larger community, and that we are responsible for everyone around us. By giving the value of charity a central role in the family dynamic, parents can encourage their child to grow up with a healthy sense of compassion and a strong charitable spirit.
This year, everyone attending the Walk for Memories MUST be registered, including all children (ages 3+).
