Peer Support Group for Caregivers
Toronto Public Library - Main St. Branch

This support group, led by trained volunteer facilitators, provides caregivers with the opportunity to discuss the many challenges of caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, with others who understand. Our goal is to:

  • Provide a safe setting which promotes mutual support, both practical and emotional, throughout the course of the disease.
  • Enhance caregiver's knowledge of the illness, available supports and coping strategies.

DATE and TIME: this is a 4-session support group

Wednesdays, November 15, 22, 29 and December 6, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

COST: FREE, registration and pre-screening is required.
